The Much Anticipated “After” Video!!

Here we go, everyone!! We have finally declared Big B “done.” Not really, it’s probably a never ending project, but it is done enough. For now. So, here is a reminder of what we started with. Sorry, we don’t have any good “before” pictures, just this video.

So, here she is now.

Here are some still pictures for your enjoyment.

Slide in and bed up for driving. Don't ask about Josh's facial hair. Yikes!

Same. With Cooper. He's not terribly fond of our house moving around.

Phew. That was a lot of work. And so worth it. It looks great and it feels like home. A short list of things we’ve done to the interior: tore up flooring throughout, tore out bed/cabinets/everything in back bedroom, tore out dinette and RV couch, primed and painted all walls and all remaining cabinets, added new cabinet hardware, painted entire ceiling, spray painted all vents, covers, etc., built bed up front, replaced carpet and put down laminate wood flooring, replaced blinds with roller blinds (which I added fabric to), built bunks and bookshelves, added storage, put in new couch and built it up to add storage drawers underneath. Phew again!

I think I mentioned in the last post that my dad visited. :)

My Uncle Greg and Aunt Dona also visited. They are traveling in an RV, also. They were here for two nights. I am amazed that all these Alaskans are coming to visit me now that I have no house to put them in.  😉 While he was here, Uncle Greg insisted on helping Josh put those airbags on.

Josh just hung out while Uncle Greg worked.

Just kidding, he crawled under there, too.

Trying to get a group picture. We have one where we're all looking at the camera, but I like this one better.

What follows are just some snapshots of the kids on a walk the other night. Only interesting to grandparent/aunt and uncle types.

Love the RV remodel! I found your blog through pinterest. We are getting ready to have an RV and travel with my husband for his work full time for a few years. I love that you tore the dinette and couch out they just make that so small in there. Which couch did you purchase from ikea?? Thanks!

Oh, thanks so much, Christy! Good luck getting ready to hit the road. You’ll love it! The couch is from Ikea and is called Soderhamn. :-)

Good job on the remodel… I really like the bed in the front.. Is there a post detailing how you accomplished it? My wife and I are looking to move our family into an rv soon and would be doing something similar.

we have a ’65 gmc bus that’s a converted motor home. I would like to paint over the cabinets and trim. I think it’s Formica or something similar. What kind of paint did you use to cover your interior? Any tips would be appreciated.
